HOW TO COOK THE FILIPINO CHICKEN ADOBO

I would like to share with you today a simple yet tasty chicken recipe. It has a distinct Filipino/Asian flavor. We are going to cook the Filipino Chicken Adobo. It is probably the most famous Filipino dish. Celebrities have been raving about this dish that they tasted from their Filipino friends. This now world-renowned dish is actually very simple to prepare as long as you have the right ingredients. So, hurry and head over to your nearest Asian store to get the ingredients that you need. The best thing about the Filipino Adobo is that you can cook a big batch and just reheat the portion that would fill the appetite of your family and friends. It is one of those foods that taste better over time.

So, here is my simple recipe for the Filipino Chicken Adobo.

  • 1 lb chicken cuts
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 5 cloves of garlic
  • 3 pcs laurel leaves
  • a dash of whole peppercorns
  • 2 tsp brown sugar (optional)

I said it would be simple, right? Well,it couldn’t be any simpler than this. Just put all of the ingredients together in a bowl (except the sugar). Cover it for 30 mins. Then put them in a pan and wait for the chicken to be cooked. You can add the sugar at this point if you want it to be on the sweet side. Yup, it’s as easy as that. I also like to cook it over low heat a little bit longer to make sure that the meat would be tender and would absorb all the flavors. Other options to make your Filipino Chicken Adobo more delicious is to put in some boiled egg and top it with lots of crispy garlic. That’s it. This is best served over hot steamed rice. Happy eating!

PEPPERED CHICKEN STEAK MADE EASY

Chicken is my favorite meat. For me, it is very versatile and can be cooked in any way to satisfy one’s discerning palate. You can fry it for some crispy goodness or boil it to have a hearty soup. You can grill it for some barbecue delight or steam it for a healthier menu.

For today, we will cook the Peppered Chicken Steak. Do not be intimidated by its name. This is so easy but guaranteed to be so yummy. Preparation time is just under 10 minutes and you can cook this is 8 minutes! For less than 30 minutes, you will be able to serve another delicious chicken meal. Here’s a list of the ingredients that you will need to prepare.

  • 1 lb boneless chicken breast, cut into chunks ¼
  • cup of cornstarch
  • 3 tbsp of soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp of sesame oil
  • 5 cloves of garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp of black pepper
  • 4 tbsp of cooking oil
  • 1 small sizedyellow onion, diced
  • 4 cups celery, sliced thinly
  • 2 tbsp of ginger, grated

For the procedure, just put together the chicken, cornstarch, soy sauce, garlic, pepper, and sesame oil. In the meantime, preheat your pan for 2 minutes then put the cooking oil. Add the chicken mixture tothe pan. Make sure that the chicken is cooked on both sides. Then stir the mixture to make sure that the flavor is absorbed properly. Remove the chicken from the pan. Put the celery, grated ginger, and onion in the pan and cook for a minute. Make sure that you do not over cook them so that they will be crispy to the bite. Put the chicken pack in the pan and stir the mixture. Put in a dash of black pepper. This recipe is good for 2 persons. Again, this is best served with hot steamed rice. Happy eating!

GARLIC HERB BUTTER ROAST CHICKEN

It’s time for another delicious chicken dish. So, here’s your opportunity to cook a hearty chicken dish and enjoy it right at the comfort of your home. The best thing about it is that you are the one who cooks it so we’re sure that there’s more than a sprinkle of love in there. That is our secret ingredient!

Just a tip for all those who are cooking at home, get the freshest chicken meat from the market so that you can be sure that you will serve the best chicken dish to your loved ones. For today, we will teach you how to cook Garlic Herb Butter Roast Chicken. The ones we have in our restaurants are from the rotisserie so we will teach you how to achieve a great-tasting roasted chicken using your trusted oven. The key is in the marinade and the length of time that you soak your chicken in the marinade. For this recipe, we will be using chicken legs instead of the whole chicken so that there would be less cooking time. here is what you need to prepare:

  • 1 lb of chicken legs
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 5 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 cup of unsalted butter
  • 1 tsp tarragon
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp sage
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 lemon, cut into half

Combine the soy sauce, lemon, garlic, and sea salt. Soak the chicken legs in the marinade for one hour or longer. When it is time to cook it, arrange them in a baking dish and top each chicken leg with butter then sprinkle the herbs evenly. Preheat your oven for 4 minutes at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Then put the chicken inside the oven and heat for 25 to 30 minutes. When it is done, let the chicken rest for about 10 minutes before serving. Enjoy!
